Job Description

Release AnalystMy financial services client have an exciting role for someone to come in and take ownership of the planning and deployment of their exciting technology roadmap.They have a broad spectrum of technologies including Microsoft stack & Outsystems. They will welcome someone who has fresh and exciting ideas and can add value to their DevOps tooling & knowledge (Outsystems, Azure Dev Ops, Git).Responsibilties:

  • Co-ordination of software change over the entire application estate
  • Interface with software suppliers (internal and external) to plan and manage regular release cycles (a mixture of agile scrum and waterfall)
  • Configure releases, bring teams and products together as per the release plan
  • Manage risks for release scope
  • Interface with QA and UAT teams for planned quality checks
  • Manage / execute release deployment including hot fixes
  • Publish release schedules: measure, monitor and report
Experience:
  • Understanding of DevOps from both a tooling and principles perspective
  • Able to manage and publish release roadmaps - working closely with cross functional technical teams onshore and offshore
  • Demonstrable experience in effective configuration, release and environment management
  • Experience in software release management for internal and external clients
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
  • Understand key DevOps metrics such as DORA
  • Deep knowledge and significant experience in professional software engineering experience and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including source control management, build processes, testing, and environment management
  • Experience of tools such as Puppet, BuildMaster, Visual Studio, etc
