Job Description

Reinsurance Specialist/Manager Permanent, Full-time Central London WFH/WFO - 1-2 days in the office preferably but flexible 25 days A/L, Private Medicals, Life Insurance, Group Income Protection, company bonus scheme and more. The Role The role reportsto the Director of Operations, Inforce Management, who leads Europe Operations within the IFM team. Within Operations, there is a separate Longevity and Protection team. The Operations team is responsible for data management, accounts processing and managinginternal and external client relationships. Additionally, there are exciting challenges ahead with the introduction of a new project involving back-office unification and standardisation. There are opportunities for global exposure and a chance to work withother business units across various locations. The role is varied and dynamic, and there are several different projects and ad-hoc pieces of work you may be involved with, for example: o Responsible for all Europe Operations MI reporting - Design and developMI for reporting teams performance and account processing statuses, various Ops initiatives including implementation, plus any ad hoc reports required o Responsible for managing quality and audits - Responsible for planning & delivery of the Operationsclient audit programme & Co-ordinate the external audit on behalf of Europe Operations o Responsible continuous improvement initiatives, change management and control - Lead the Operations CI initiatives by driving forward an innovative and change mindseton the team, collaborating with various stakeholders to improve systems/processes, & managing SOP documentation and training materials for Europe Operations o Responsible for managing Internal and External stakeholders - Develop effective working relationshipswith colleagues across the organisation to ensure both client and internal customer needs are met, maintain a thorough understanding of assigned client portfolios and update management reports and escalate any potential reporting issues as and when necessaryo Responsible for management of teams overall performance (If managing a team) - Guide the team with the setting of performance objectives and provide necessary support to the team in achieving them and Regular monitoring of performance and providing constructiveperformance feedback The client is looking for a candidate with a strong technical background who can quickly learn new skills, but who will also challenge and improve the existing processes. The team works closely with other teams in the European BusinessUnit including Finance, Actuarial functions, Pricing and Marketing. Teamwork. A collaborative and proactive attitude is therefore a must for the role. Essential Qualifications & Expertise o A sound knowledge of Insurance/Reinsurance or any other financialinstitution administration practices and principles o Aptitude for managing data and analysis with advanced Excel skills. o Knowledge of basic coding or interested in learning the skill. o Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities Desirable Experienceo Good report writing and verbal communication skills o Competent user of Microsoft Excel o Experience in working on SAP or another operations platform. o Curiosity and critical thinking of issues with a solution-oriented mindset. o Strong interpersonal skillsand team player.
