Job Description

Investigo are currently supporting an Electronic Trading client with recruiting a Regulatory Controls Analyst for a short term day rate contract.You will be joining the Regulatory Controls team that work as part of the wider Operations function. Your role is to support with the production and distribution of exception reports across the business which are a key aspect of maintaining internal regulatorycontrols.Key duties:

  • Produce, maintain and distribute activity based reporting of a high quality, whilst seeking additional oversight, when required/mandated.
  • Execute a varying embedded controls to meet multiple obligations in supporting and controlling the business.
  • Determination of proposed Market regulations to establish additional controls required to control the business activity.
  • Exception Management, escalation and remediation approaches documented and delivered.
  • To support the broader Control Framework within Operations, whilst enhancing cross departmental relationships and dependencies.
  • Continually update all relevant documentation / procedures in line with proposed Control framework, to satisfy internal and external mandates.
  • Independently represent the team during project meetings, from inception and throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Open communication and dialogue with direct and indirect teams.
Background requirements:
  • Ability work with vast sets of data to perform data analysis and production themes, trending and control dashboards.
  • Good understanding of the regulatory environment, ideally with understanding of MIFID II
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel (e.g varying degrees of data tooling)
  • Knowledge/ understanding of SQL/ VBA desirable
  • Knowledge of Fixed Incomes Products and Markets
  • Excellent analytical skills and critical thinking abilities, proven ability to prioritise projects, innovative thinking, and a client-focused approach.
This is initially a 4 month day rate contract paying £200 per day plus holiday pay, inside IR35 via PAYE.The office location is based in the City of London, and they work 3-4 days per week in the office with the rest of the week working from home.
