Job Description Exciting Opportunity to Work with Big4 Tech Company as a Regional Security Specialist based in London! Role: Regional Security Specialist Duration: 12 months Location: 6 Pancras Sq, London N1C 4AG Bonus: Company Plan (paid yearly) Working Hours: Shift Work: 4x 12 hours shifts between 7am-7pm (including weekends and holidays) / 4 days off - Responsible for training of new operators in Global/Regional Operation Centres. - Supported the expansion of security presence throughout EMEA. - Temporary EMEA Lead for Travel Risk. Responsible for all travel risk guidance to mitigate against potential risk to all in medium to extreme risk countries/regions. - Create detailed reports of incidents using internal incident management reporting systems and assist in the response to incidents Make decisions, with some guidance from more senior leaders, to coordinate team activities and balance workload (e.g., scheduling, shift management, other administrative duties). Challenge Triage problems escalated from more junior team members/third-party providers, delegating assignments to follow up and resolve issues. Act as a liaison with other areas to relate issues and facilitate and negotiate effective cross-functional resolution. Explain procedures effectively to new team members/third-party workers and advise/coach through problem-solving. Influence Seek to establish excellent relationships with varying colleagues and teams, including the general public and various external parties. Work with peers and internal/external partners to understand and explain security issues. Maintain and enhance security-related systems, resources, procedures, and methods to ensure and improve operational effectiveness.Expertise Support the development of security-related tasks and policies by applying a basic understanding of relevant external security-related laws and regulations. Apply a developing expertise in vendor management, and facility management. Responsibilities under the direction of Manager: Continuous improvement After program implementation, collect feedback, ensure documentation is up to date, and facilitate discussions to follow up with cross-project stakeholders; propose and/or implement changes for continuous improvement. Incident response Participate in incident response, working across GSRS teams and efforts, assisting where needed and joining activities that help get ahead of potential incident consequences. Provide ongoing support Provide ongoing support for data users through maintenance of reports, queries, and dashboards with some guidance. Security investigations With some guidance, conduct, assist, and/or provide guidance in standard investigations related to security risk and violations. Respond to events while exercising authority to execute security policies and requirements to lead incident response activities,minimize breaches, and assess damage. Conduct and direct interviews of direct and indirect witnesses and collect and review relevant data and surveillance information. Security operations Implement physical and digital security operations programs and systems with some guidance. Threat and risk management Execute protocols and practices to assess and mitigate threats to clients. Manage crises and deliver threat assessment services by collecting, evaluating, and disseminating accurate and timely intelligence information to appropriate stakeholders. Collect, evaluate, and disseminate intelligence to support action plans based on credibility and likelihood. Support the development of protocols and practices to assess and mitigate risks to Alphabets personnel, assets, and reputation to drive efficiencyand manage crises.
