Job Description

Refugee Resettlement Worker ~We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority in theGreater Londonarea who are seeking aRefugee Resettlement Workerto join theirRefugee Support Team.Contract- 3-6 months with a view to extended into a permanent position.Full Time Hours– 35 Hours per week.Location– SE17. (hybrid working could be available)Service streams include the Homes for Ukraine Scheme, Afghan Resettlement Scheme, Syrian Resettlement Scheme and the response to the Streamlined Asylum Process.The work includes face-to-face outreach work with vulnerable migrants as well as report writing and recording of actions undertaken.Rate of Pay- £21+ per hour – Negotiable depending on experience.Main Duties:

  • Promoting the integration and resettlement of refugees within the area to enable them to participate fully in society.
  • Carrying out holistic needs assessments of individuals and families and creating support plans; providing practical and emotional support to individuals and families affected by SAP and supporting them to access key services including welfare benefits,health, housing and education.
  • You will need to effectively facilitate the communication and engagement between the refugees and key stakeholder organisations, charities and government bodies.
  • Responding to the Streamlined Asylum Process. This is a dynamic and evolving response and there is a potential for the responsibilities to shift as the SAP response develops.
