Job Description

Job Title: Recruitment PartnerLocation: Blackheath, London, SE3 0PWSalary: £40,000 per year.Job Type: Permanent, Full time. 35 hours per week.About Morden College:Morden College is a charity that is dedicated to enabling a life-lived independence for the older people they provide homes for, through life, as they grow older. Morden College has enriched the lives of its residents as well as their families, over thelast 300 years. The Charitys core purpose is to provide older people who are in need with a home for life within its beautiful grounds, with amazing facilities and surrounded by its caring people, who work tirelessly to provide the highest quality of care.Our Charitys Community Services are provided in the Almshouse accommodation at Blackheath and at Ralph Perring Court in Beckenham, through the vibrant communal space in the John Morden Centre and the case management approach that proactively identifies,assesses, and supports the most vulnerable in our community. Our residential care home, Cullum Welch Court ("CWC"), provides personal nursing and dementia care 24/7. With 32 beds, it is small enough to maintain a personalised service to its residents, yetlarge enough to provide the facilities required to meet their range of needs.About the Role:Putting the employee (or potential employee) experience firmly at the centre of everything we do, you will lead the successful sourcing of high quality, capable and culturally aligned talent. Together with the Director of People & Culture, you will createand maintain a strong employer brand, vital to attracting suitable candidates in a challenging and competitive marketplace.From the identification of a need, you will advise and guide the line manager, agree the talent acquisition approach, manage the talent acquisition process through to the onboarding of the successful candidates. You will work closely with candidates to ensurea positive and engaging experience.Deliver a professional and engaging hiring and onboarding experience for all candidates up to SLT level through:

  • Building trusted partnerships with recruiting managers to determine recruitment plans for the year, discuss and agree approach and provide advice, support and guidance throughout the hiring process.
  • Consultation with the organisation on the recruitment strategy, recruitment and sourcing trends.
  • Providing regular and relevant market insight and knowledge.
  • Advertising roles on agreed mediums (optimising job postings as required), reviewing all applications, ensuring all candidates receive appropriate and timely feedback.
  • Utilising other methods of sourcing candidates as appropriate for the roles (e.g. school leavers, local colleges etc.)
  • Conducting all initial CV screening, telephone interviews and relevant assessments to present recruiting managers with a good quality short-list of candidates to consider and interview.
  • Support with the interview and selection process as appropriate - particularly with less experienced managers or where additional assessments would add value to the recruitment decision.
The Candidate:
  • Experienced recruiter with a good understanding of the entire recruitment lifecycle.
  • Will have had at least 2 years internal recruitment experience recruiting for roles up to Senior Management level.
  • Be able to demonstrate the impact of their candidate-centred approach to recruitment and understand the benefit of using different attraction strategies.
  • Good understanding of successful and impactful employer branding techniques and how to present Morden College and the opportunities available in the best light.Can demonstrate successful experience managing stakeholders.
  • Experience of working with different types of psychometrics and assessment tools is desirable.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
