Job Description

TwentyAI have partnered with a highly prestigious and successful Real Estate focussed Investment Manager whore looking for Fund Controller with drive, excellent communication skills and the ability to work in the challenging and exciting Debt Investmentsbusiness. The successful candidate will take ownership of the current flagship fund which focuses on mezzanine debt investments but also offers whole loans, capex and development financing solutions across Western Europe.Accountabilities:

  • Manage the preparation of the accounting, consolidation and reporting processes, including quarterly/annual financial statements, investor reporting and dealing with investor requests.
  • Responsible for cash management of the fund, including calculation of investor calls and distributions, managing fundings to borrowers along with making recommendations to the fund managers
  • Manage the audit and tax compliance processes, including liaising with external advisers.
  • Key player in loan agency function including preparing interest payment statements, compliance testing, waterfalls management, valuation instructions and dealing with borrower requests. This function is planned to be outsourced in the near term where thisrole will transition to overseeing the service provider.
  • Assist in due diligence and structuring of new debt investments.
  • Interact and liaise with different functions in accordance with internal controls, external regulations and specific fund processes
  • Working closely with the wider banking team to ensure seamless setup and running of pledged accounts, being the link between the borrower and the banking team
  • Manage the revolving subscription facility for the fund
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Qualified accountant with 12 years post qualification experience (ACA, ACCA preferred)
  • Fund and/or debt/property accounting experience (experience in both would be advantageous but not essential)
  • Excellent Excel knowledge and experience of Yardi or similar General Ledger systems an advantage
  • Organised, methodical and with an eye for detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated/able to work on your own/takes initiative
  • Ability to meet deadlines/Hard-working
  • Outgoing personality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in dealing with internal and external people
