Job Description

The role is for an experienced Business Analyst preferably with experience of Identity and Access Management projects, who will need to be a self-starter who can work with minimal direction and be trusted to fulfill tasks to completion. They will be responsible for gathering and analysis of requirements, Assist in ensuring that all IAM capabilities are mapped to internal processes, policies and standards. Develop metrics to measure and improve the alignment.The successful project will deliver:

  • Support to staff joiner, mover and leaver processes that ensure the correct access is provided and approved by the appropriate management functions and removed in a timely manner to prevent misuse
  • Regular reviews of staff access to critical business systems by business application owners to ensure access remains appropriate and prevent misuse
  • Provide a control framework to allow for Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC) to be implemented throughout the business.
  • Segregation of duties within critical applications to reduce the opportunity to commit fraud or other unauthorised activities
  • Appropriate management of privileged access to business systems and supporting IT infrastructure to ensure restriction to staff who require it as part of their daily duties
  • Additional authentication steps to support remote access to the clients systems to ensure access is only permitted for approved staff
  • Compliance with relevant regulations, Group Policy and controls
  • Process automation to manage responses and current status
  • Secure audit trail for recertification authorisation and responses
  • Management reporting to support governance activity and demonstrate status and completeness of recertification activity
    • The key responsibilities are:
  • Work to understand existing business environment, business needs and elicit and document business requirements from stakeholders at all levels of seniority, ensuring requirements have been captured correctly and completely
  • Map both "AS-IS" and "TO-BE" business processes, documenting data flows, understanding systems dependencies and capabilities, clearly documenting any assumptions and exclusions
  • Work closely with Technology teams on integrating IAM services with Technology and business systems to increase efficiency through automation around areas such as JML processes, application access request fulfilment and attestation.
  • Create documentation as required to fully articulate the scope and vision of the project including application User access manuals, procedures and training guides.
  • Support the project manager in the identification of critical dependencies, potential failure points and activities required to support the successful implementation of an effective IAM solution and Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC
    • Critical success factors of the role are:
  • Excellent requirements gathering and documentation skills
  • Good knowledge of process mapping, data lineage, auditing, data governance and information security
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, cohesive working relationships with business and IT users and senior stakeholders
  • strong sense of prioritisation and execution against critical deliverables, coupled with a sense of personal ownership for key projects deliverables
  • A track record of delivering against tight timescales in an ambiguous environment
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility, multi-tasking skills and a can do attitude
  • Ability to work in an unstructured analysis environment, identifying / anticipating problem areas before they occur
  • Excellent communicator at all levels
  • Good working experience of IAM Tool integration
  • Demonstrable experience of developing role based access control (RBAC) solutions from requirements through design, build, test, and entry into service.
    • Required skills
  • Total of at least 6-8 year of experience working as a business analyst for gathering requirements
  • Technical and business understanding and working experience of Identity Access Management end-to-end procedures, process and principles, including J,M,L and recertification
  • Working experience of implementing Role Based Access and Privileged Access Management frameworks and accounts
  • Experience with centralised access management tools i.e. SailPoint, One Identity etc
    • Desirable
  • Good knowledge of AD Active Directory
  • Experience with Role Mining
  • Experience with supporting PoC when implementing centralised access management tools
