Job Description

Are you an experienced Rail Project Manager looking for the opportunity to play a pivotal part in the delivery and improvement of the infrastructure within the rail industry in the UKFord & Stanley - The Rail Recruitment Specialists are looking for a Project Manager to be part of a growing rail delivery team who have recently secured various contracts and projects with Network Rail. The opportunity will be for you to showcase your ability and to directly impact the success and reputation of the business. This is an excellent prospect for an ambitious Project Manager to become a fundamental player in a new team.Location (s): LondonRole and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidates will work with, and draw on the resources of multi-disciplinary teams within the Company and from 3rd parties, whilst maintaining excellent relationships with stakeholders and clients.

  • To act as the key interface with clients
  • To achieve required quality standards
  • Advise the project team on project planning activities and initiatives and present recommendations and project delivery status updates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Prepare financial spreadsheets, summarise information and communicate results to key clients and stakeholders
  • Lead, review and challenge project budgets and forecast to ensure a consistent, challenging but deliverable approach is adopted
  • Deliver all projects demonstrating a thorough understanding of associated processes and technology and an understanding of Primavera planning software and ProjectWise.
    • Experience and Requirements
  • Excellent line management skills, with the ability to motivate employees to achieve a high standard of compliance and influence team building and culture
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder relationship building skills
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills; able to manage projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality
  • Self-driven, results orientated with a positive and proactive outlook
  • Sound knowledge of the Rail Consultancy industry
  • Working knowledge of ProjectWise and Primevara P6
