Job Description

A fast growing team within a stable asset manager has a fantastic opportunity for a Quantitative Developer. The set up resembles that of a start-up, implying that your career will not be limited in one particular area but it will have a broad character.Given the scope of this role, the candidate will have a great chance of making a strong impact on the team and the firm. You will be responsible for developing, enhancing and supporting platforms and tools that drive signal research, portfolio construction, trading, performance attribution and reporting. The team is experiencing strong asset, driving increased investments into people, data, and tools. Currently the team manages over 30 equity strategies across a variety of geographies and risk/return profiles and the number is expected to continue growing fast. What you will do:

  • Develop well-tested, high quality, scalable systems and solutions
  • Enhance and optimize systems for use in equity factor modelling, portfolio construction, trading and reporting
  • Identify and implement performance enhancements to data pipelines and processes
  • Maintain all aspects of the daily investment process systems and production jobs
  • Participate in architectural design of data systems and visualization
What we need from you:
  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in a related field with demonstrable experience of development in a commercial setting
  • Experience with system architecture and application development
  • Strong programming skill in Python and commercial experience with SQL

  • Experience with data modelling, data management process, data profiling
  • Previous experience within, or a significant interest in, Quantitative Investment Management
