Job Description

Quantitative Analyst (PhD Statistics Probability) London to £70kAre you PhD educated with a strong interest and desire to progress your career in quantitative trading with significant bonus earning potentialYou could be joining a specialist Hedge Fund with £1 billion in assets, learning from a hugely talented team.As a Quantitative Analyst within the Power team you will collaborate with a Portfolio Manager and a small team of Quants. Youll focus on statistical analysis, working with large data sets to identify patterns and develop models to gain a competitive advantage.Location / WFH Policy:Youll be working in a collegiate team environment based in North London with a small group of accomplished entrepreneurs with flexibility to work from home occasionally (you will be mainly office based).Requirements:

  • You have a strong record of academic achievement, and have studied to PhD level at an Oxbridge or Russell Group university - Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or closely related discipline preferred
  • You have a keen interest in Trading and global financial markets, with commercial acumen
  • You have an advanced understanding of Mathematics, Statistics and Probability
  • You have R programming skills (will also consider Python) and are capable of developing quantitative tools and models
  • You have advanced critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Youre a confident communicator
