As a Barclays Quantitative Analyst, you will join our Quantitative Analytics group, to help growing the team and to partner with our key stakeholders, in order to drive the analytics agenda. What will you be doing Designing, developing and improving models and analytics in Prime (specifically Fixed Income Financing) Liaising with Front Office and Technology, to deploy analytics in production You will be responsible for providing tactical analysis Supporting the idea generation and implementation of new models with the analysis of existing processes and systems Collaborating with traders to help making the business more efficient and the decision making process more transparent and data-focused Working collaboratively with product managers to align and integrate our deliverables with the broader business initiatives Supporting the IT teams to deliver our solutions to the end-users Partnering with other teams to reuse solutions that exist in other areas of the firm What were looking for: Masters or PhD in a quantitative field (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering) Extensive working understanding of repo (cash, non-cash), bonds (Macro, Credit, EM), linear derivatives (FX and rates), and a familiarity with tools such as Python and C++ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complicated concepts in a simple, non-technical way Critical thinker, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Skills that will help you in the role: Excellent numerical skills, with an understanding and practical experience of statistics and data analysis Experience with data visualization tools and libraries (e.g. Jupyter, Bokeh) Fixed Income Financing experience is desirable but not essential Excellent interpersonal skills Where will you be working5 North Colonnade is home to our investment bank and is in the heart of Canary Wharf, just a short walk from our headquarters at Churchill Place.
