The RoleAs a Quant Developer within Execution Analytics, youll work alongside the trading desk and researchers to build best-in-class analytics at scale. The crux of the challenge is to implement robust, advanced analytics and visualisations across noisy datasetsthat scale to hundreds of millions of rows. Youll build a deep understanding of how listed and OTC instruments are traded, developing tools to analyse execution performance and the drivers behind it. The team is small, providing the unique opportunity toinfluence how Man Group trades trillions annually. The TeamThe Execution Analytics team builds the platform that delivers insight into our execution performance. This varies from systems that allow us to answer questions like How much has Mans trading cost in the past year" to tools that visualise the inner workingsof our proprietary execution algorithms. We have direct exposure to every asset class and strategy across the firm, so its an opportunity to build a deep understanding of the financial markets that underpin Man Groups business. Our TechnologyWe leverage the full scientific Python stack to build our systems: NumPy, Pandas and Plotly for visualisation. Our workloads are orchestrated via Airflow on Kubernetes and were heavy users of Man Groups 8000 core Spark cluster for large jobs. For storagewe rely on Arctic, Man Groups timeseries database and for frontend development we typically use Typescript and React. Working HereMan Tech has a small company, no-attitude feel. It is flat structured, open, transparent and collaborative, and you will have plenty of opportunity to grow and have enormous impact on what we do. We are actively engaged with the broader technology community.
