Job Description

Our client, a global reinsurance firm which has experienced impressive results and growth over the past 12 months are looking to add to their developing risk management function through the hire of a Senior Insurance Risk Manager position within theirGroup Risk Management function.Reporting into the Group Chief Risk Officer, you will have a broad remit spanning all quantitative elements of risk management but without having to focus on internal model validation with this process continuing to be outsourced moving forward. This will allowthe successful candidate to work on projects and deliverables that will include:

  • Providing effective review, challenge and contributing to the development of technical functions across the business with exposures to underwriting, actuarial, investment and exposure management functions
  • Completing and presenting your analytics and reports to internal committees and external regulatory bodies
  • Working on the constant development of the companys risk management framework
  • Undertaking deep dive reviews as identified by business, regulatory or market needs
Given the nature of this position, it will be important that you are able to demonstrate relevant experience within the insurance sector and with a good understanding of financial and non-life insurance risk.
