CK Group are recruiting for a Quality Coordinator to join the team at a leading manufacturer of specialised coatings, primers and sealants with an International customer base at their facilities located in South East London. This role is being offeredon a full time permanent basis.Location:This position will be located at the companys manufacturing facility located in South East London. It is accessible by various modes of transport and is serviced well be public transport. The job role:In this role you will be responsible for:1. Ensuring a safe system of work & compliance with relevant Health & Safety procedures affecting self and others.2. Inspection and testing of raw materials, intermediates, finished goods, goods returned, bought-in products and packaged manufactured products & accurately record corresponding laboratory data.3. Inspection of plant conditions and products during the production run. Issuing and recording inspection data on the Daily Inspection Sheets regularly during the production run.4. Advising the Production Operators of any non-conformity and recording corrective action.5. Recommending any necessary adjustments to intermediates and products to bring them to specification and reporting of corresponding action taken. Approval of intermediates and products.6. Registration, recording and investigation of non-conformance of raw materials, intermediates, finished goods, goods returned, bought-in products and packaged manufactured products.7. Ensuring non-conforming or suspect material is identified, promptly segregated and the Quality Manager is informed in good time to enable corrective action to be effective.8. Issuing Batch Mixing Sheets to production department, if requested.9. Preparation and issue of Test Certificates for products.10. Calibration and maintenance of calibration records for laboratory equipment.11. Investigating customer complaints and submit detailed reports to the Quality Manager.12. Assisting with the implementation, maintenance and timely revision of SOPs and other controlled documents within the Quality Management System.13. Assisting in the performance of internal audits, providing support in the preparation and co-ordination of inspections and audits by both regulatory authorities, clients and third parties.14. Assisting the Quality Manager on the various aspects of QC / QA administration.Your Background:In order to be considered for this position, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:- 2-5 years experience in QA / QC within a manufacturing environment.- Experience of laboratory work and knowledge of some Chemistry.- IT literacy to high standards (Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams & others).- Experience with managing small teams and projects.- Ability to communicate effectively within the team and with other departments throughout the company, to ensure harmonious working relationships and to promote a positive working environment.- An open, flexible, proactive, and positive approach towards work & can-do attitude.Desirable:- Degree in Science related fields.- Knowledge of anticorrosion surface coatings and sealants.- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 17025 Management Systems.- Knowledge of improvement processes including root cause analysis (RCA), corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPA).ApplyEntitlement to work in the UK is essential.
