Job Description

RoleKennedys is looking for an assistant to work competently within the Risk & Compliance team to help develop and manage the delivery of an effective QMS function across the global business. The QMS assistant will work closely with the Quality Manager to assistin developing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Management System documentation in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.TeamKennedys Risk & Compliance team handles a wide range of partnership and risk and compliance issues for the firm and acts as an in-house legal department assisting with regulatory and professional conduct inquiries.The team is based in London.Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Quality Manager to maintain the quality Management system in compliance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the completion of the annual QMS audit plan as per location, and department.
  • Assist and manage the R&Cs risk register ( includes business risk).
  • Create, update, and review QMS-related documents, in collaboration with the relevant owners.
  • Contribute to the delivery of effective audits (internal and external) relevant to the ISO 9001 Quality Management accreditation for the UK and overseas offices.
  • Ensure timely completion of the audit reports.
  • Discuss the internal audit requirements and any audit findings with fee earners, team leaders and Partners throughout the business.
  • Participate in due diligence where it relates to internal or external QMS audit activity.
Required experience
  • Strong academics (A-Levels, degree or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of practical experience within QMS or any other ISO standards activities.
  • Preferred experience of implementing or auditing the requirements of ISO standard.
  • Strong command over Microsoft office skills.
  • Previous general compliance and regulatory experience gained within the insurance, legal or financial industry
  • Excellent written and oral communication, and technical writing and editing skills.
  • Previous experience with SRA compliance requirements would be an advantage.
