Job Description

A leading Global Bank are now recruiting for an experienced QlikSense Developer.We are looking for a quick start for this role so if your immediately available that would be ideal.Headcount: 1Pay rate: 425/day PAYE ( 530 umbrella)London Based -6 months +Knowledge & Experience / QualificationsKnowledge:

  • Designing, documenting and implementing data maps, data cleansing & controls
  • Process optimisation including automation of manual activities
  • Creating prototypes & easy to use, digital forms & controls (ideally SharePoint & Nintex workflows)
  • ETL processes, load scripts & building dimensions & visuals (ideally in Qlik)
  • Strategic change & transformation, Portfolio Management and CMB (preferred)
  • Portfolio outcome, delivery & financial management systems (ideally Clarity, Rally, Jira)
    • Experience:
  • A track record of delivering sustainable improvements under pressure
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to distil key facts from complex issues and present them appropriately to the audience - business or technical colleagues;
  • Ability to work autonomously under pressure to tight deadlines, prioritising work in a multi-client environment where demand exceeds supply and resolving the conflicts that result;
  • Experience working in Financial and Banking sector with good exposure to regulatory and compliance requirements needed in this sector
  • Highly disciplined approach to documentation standards, including version control management
  • Experience of working on global initiatives, engaging with team members and stakeholders in multiple locations
    • Capabilities:
  • Expertise in design and development on QlikSense QlikView.
  • Interaction with customers to gather business requirements and developed functional and technical specification document.
  • Expertise in Data Modelling, Data Mapping e.g. snowflake and star schema models in QlikSense QlikView.
  • Expertise in data Extraction, Transforming and Loading (ETL) using Script editor.
  • Expertise in VizLib, QlikSense Mash-Ups, QlikSense Extensions.
  • Expertise in database connectivity to different ODBC, OLE DB data sources (SQL Server, Oracle) and flat files.
  • Strong Experience in creating dimensional hierarchies to facilitate drill-down capabilities, level based measures, foreign and complex joins.
  • Expertise in section access, reduce and reload techniques for data level access restrictions.
  • Expertise in loading techniques e.g. resident load and preceding load.
  • Expertise on set analysis and advanced aggregation functions.
  • Eliminate synthetic keys, ambiguous relationships and closed loops.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Good process analysis and problem solving skills;
  • Willingness to own work and problems and see through to completion and to use own initiative to resolve issues, whilst dealing with a diverse range of people;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to succeed within a matrix management structure and build and maintain global team relationships;
  • Proven ability to prioritise workload effectively in line with business priorities;
  • Can do attitude. Willing to turn a hand to whatever task is required;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, work independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines and to contribute to a larger team; to have flexible approach to responsibilities;
  • Self-motivation, and a proven rapid learning capability in a changing environment are essential;

    • Qualifications (preferred):
  • Certified Qlik Developer, experience with VizLib.
  • Excellent database knowledge and experience is an advantage;
  • Effective written and spoken communication skills in English;
  • Highly developed reasoning and analytical skills;
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proven fast learner;
  • Process oriented and structured approach;
  • Accountability - takes ownership of tasks assigned to ultimate resolution;
  • Structured worker able to efficiently manage multiple tasks;
