An established global business is looking for an ambitious and business-driven professional Python Backend Developer to develop technical and analytical skills in a fast-paced Big Data environment and become an expert developer.As part of the pricing & analyticsteam, thesuccessful candidate will design, implement and maintain digital tools using Python and APIs. The role will also involve defining and developing software products that help the business add incremental growthin a repeatable and automatable manner. Additional duties will include managing data requirements with the developers, securing and maintaining data resources, working closely with Data Science, marketing and sales, editorial and local/ global technology teamsas well as developing an in-depth understanding of the market and best practices.In order to be suitable for this role you must have proven experience in an Application Engineer, Software Programmer, Web Developer or similar backend / data focussed development role in a high-volume transactional data environment. It is essential to havewith strong APIs, SQL relational databases, Git version controlThe ideal candidate will also have experience with libraries (Pandas), Linux & MacOS (cron Jobs and Bash), high-volume transactional data environment, PIL (Pillow), Graph libraries (Matplotlib, Plotly or similar) and web scraping, although these are notessential.This is a pivotal role in a large constantly evolving business -they have plenty of planned enterprise-level projects. This Python Backend Developer role is paying a maximum basic salary of £44,000 plus 10% bonus and benefits.
