Job Description

Python Data Engineer Contract Role at FTSE 100

  • £650-850pd, Inside IR35
  • Contract ASAP till end of 2022 (31st December)
  • Location: Mainly Remote, some flexibility needed with some on-site office days (London)
La Fosse have partnered with a FTSE100 Oil & Gas industry leader. Our client is seeking a python data engineer with experience working with tools including Databricks and Azure Machine Learning and Azure. This role would work closely alongside analysts toproductionise models and would involve taking conceptual models and integrating them into the cloud model framework.Role Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and maintain ETLs and data pipelines
  • Provide Analysts and Quants with technical support and coach them in tooling use
  • Continuously improve framework and model lifecycle with Software Engineers and analysts
  • Advocate and produce performant scalable code
  • Productionise models created by analysts - incl. ensuring monitoring & back testing
  • Leading junior data engineers/data scientists.
Tech stack:
  • Agile methodologies
  • Python ML stack
  • MLOps and model lifecycle incl. Databricks, Azure Machine Learning with MLFlow
  • Cloud services - ideally Azure (Azure functions, Service Bus, AKS, Azure Machine Learning)
  • CI/CD experience and Test Automation (git, ADO/Jenkins/Github)
Other skills:
  • Knowledge of time series analysis and predict modelling
  • Experience of prototyping, benchmarking, evolving models
  • Attitude to learn & Continuous improvement
  • Stakeholder engagement/management experience
  • Analytical thinker
