Our client based in Wimbledon are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join the Purchasing Department of a Food Manufacturing Company1. Whats the roleThe Purchasing Assistant is a key "hub" in the business. The role ensures that we are purchasing the right ingredients according to customer demand and expectations. You will also be responsible for ordering various non-food products including chemicals, disposables, hygiene equipment and packaging. The role also manages stocks levels (both shortages and overstocks) and control of waste, recipe structure and providing the sales & purchasing data for review.2. Why does this role existProducing the finest food for our customers includes producing it On Time and In Full. The Purchasing Assistant ensures that this happens by constantly checking stock levels of stock on hand and then ordering the respective ingredients and/or products (including non-food items) in accordance with the daily Production Schedule to ensure full availability of the customers order(s). Additionally, the Purchasing Assistant has a responsibility to ensure that wastage through over-ordering is reduced to the bare minimum.3. DUTIES:
