Job Description

We are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our established Finance team. You will be based in our Head Office in Clerkenwell and reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.The Role

  • Proactively manage supplier accounts
  • Process a high volume of invoices and credit notes with speed and accuracy
  • Maintain good and regular communication with teams across the business
  • Nominal coding, matching and batching of invoices for different currencies
  • Updating trackers with invoices for managers approval weekly
  • Filing of electronic invoices and statements in a timely manner
  • Managing supplier accounts, including supplier statement reconciliations
  • Invoice matching for all stock receipted into our warehouses
  • Liaising with the logistics team to ensure cash paid in advance is allocated on a timely basis
  • Processing weekly BACS payment runs
  • Ad hoc duties as required
  • About You
  • Previous experience working within purchase ledger essential.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Reliable, self-disciplined, speed and accuracy essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to build up relationships internally and externally.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
  • Good aptitude for Excel – V Look Ups and Pivot Tables would be an advantage

Due to the current situation we are able to consider candidates that wish to work both remotely and in the office.Our core shift hours are from 8am – 10:00am, i.e. employees can choose to work 8-4:30pm, 8:30-5pm,etc. plus early finish on Friday!
