Job Description

JOB TITLE: Public Health Intelligence AnalystLOCATION: Wandsworth, Greater LondonPAY RATE: £20 PAYE or £25 Umbrella per hour (can be flexible for those with substantial public health experience)START DATE: ASAPDURATION: 12 month contractIR35 STATUS: Inside**Please only apply for this role if you have public health analysis experience, i.e. with PHE, NHS, Local Government, or similar organisation.**Tasks

  • Develop, refine and update Covid related routine surveillance and analytical products
  • Review Covid surveillance products and ensure alerts are shared with PH Consultants, DPH and others as directed
  • Investigate and assess new source of data and information to support local Covid response
  • Respond to urgent data requests and queries from DPH, PH Consultant, Health Protection teams, Communication Team etc. to support Covid response
  • Work closely with Insight and Analytics team, Directorate of Adults Social Services and Public Health to gather data and provide analytical support to assist with Covid response
  • Additional work to support Covid response and public health as needed
  • Other tasks as directed by Insight and Analytics Manager
    • Requirements
  • Previous Public Health or health analysis experiences (NHS, PHE, CCGs etc) (essential)
  • Ability to work with minimum direction
  • Quick learner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to explain analysis, data limitations etc. to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to turn around analytical products that are easy to follow and insightful
  • MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) (essential)
  • Previous experience with PowerBI (highly desirable)
  • Previous coding experience e.g STATA, Python or R (desirable)
  • Previous experience querying data e.g. SQL (highly desirable)
  • Experience using NHS data sources (e.g. HES) (highly desirable)
