This well established and inspirational charity gives expert support to children, raising awareness and campaigning for childrens rights.Working as part of the Policy and Campaigns Team, the main purpose of this role is to engage UK politicians and opinion formers and develop partnerships with key organisations to deliver campaign objectives. You will lead the engagement approach with Government and influencers, gather political insight and understand key policy developments that impact the charity. You will also maintain up to date data relating to Parliamentarians, Parliamentary Committees, Government departments, Ministers, civil servants, and special advisors, and develop and implement plans to increase engagement with external stakeholders. Working alongside policy advisors, you also will draft high level briefings and correspondence. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a political environment, with knowledge of Government and the national political landscape in the UK. You will have excellent networking and influencing skills with the ability to engage high level stakeholders within Government, Parliament and the voluntary sector. You will be a completer-finisher with a keen eye for detail, ensuring projects are completed in full. You will also have the drive and energy to represent children and their issues, with a key focus on connecting children directly with decision makers.
