Psychotherapy Band 7 PostAbout the team:The Psychology and Psychotherapy Service (“P&P”) is a multi-disciplinary team of psychotherapists, psychologists and family therapists that provides psychological services and consultations to the Trust’s Older Adult CMHTs. P&P is a very busy and friendly service which welcomes new skills and ideas.About the role:This is a permanent, thirty hours per week psychoanalytic psychotherapy post. It is an exciting opportunity for a psychoanalytic psychotherapist to join a small team of psychotherapists who work closely with other colleagues in the multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant will carry out assessments, provide weekly individual psychotherapy to a caseload of patients, provide consultations to CMHTs and occasionally teach. Weekly group supervision is provided. Applicants should have a qualification in the practice of psychoanalysis or psychoanalytic psychotherapy accredited by BPC/UKCP or similar and be HCPC registered. The successful applicant should also have an interest in developing skills as a Transference-Focussed psychotherapist.About the location:Psychotherapists in the team work across all four of the Trust’s boroughs (Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham and Croydon) and the successful applicant will be expected to work flexibly within this model.Benefits:We are committed to ensuring our staff get the most out of their benefits package and understand the importance of a healthy work life balance.
