Based in either London or Bristol, a friendly, modern, progressive and commercially-oriented law firm with a dynamic and enterprising approach wishes to hire a talented Proposals Executive.The successful applicant will be joining a collaborative and creative environment, which is flexible, transparent and friendly in a role offering plenty of opportunity to learn and progress within pitching and business development. The firm are seeking ahighly-organised Proposals Executive who is passionate about creating first-class pitches and presentations and keen to make their mark at a leading law firm. You will take overall project management responsibility of select capability statements and pitches,overseeing qualification, developing a project plan, gathering content from the bid library, databases and subject matter experts across the firm, sourcing boilerplate content, writing and editing the document and ensuring that all necessary activities arecompleted on time. You will also provide support to the Proposals Manager for large, procurement-led panel proposals, undertaking activities such as setting up templates, creating project plans, organising meetings, sourcing boilerplate text and completingstandard sections. The role holder will play an important role in an exciting, high-profile project to introduce proposal automation software to the firm, working with the Proposals Manager, the wider Business Development team and subject matter experts acrossthe organisation to revamp the firms existing proposals library ready for upload onto the new system. You will gather content from a number of sources across the firm including subject matter experts, previous proposals, directory submissions and existinglibraries, for upload onto the new system. This will include fee earner biographies, general firm information, frequently asked questions, practice area overviews, case studies and testimonials. Working in collaboration with the Proposals Manager, you willre-structure, format, edit and proofread incoming content, ensuring that it conforms to house style guide, fits new proposal automation templates and has one voice’ throughout, and write new content, such as partner biographies, to meet the requirements ofthe new proposal automation software templates and upload content onto the new proposal automation software system, tagging appropriate words and phrases appropriately. In addition, you will help to write and maintain a central library of content, dissectingsubmitted pitches and identifying new content to upload into the library, and assist with general proposals duties and adhoc administrative tasks as and when required.The ideal candidate will be a bright graduate or equivalent with proven proposals experience gained in a law or other professional services firm, although consideration will be given to candidates who can demonstrate the necessary skill sets gained in otherprofessions. The role will suit an applicant with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy and a flair for both writing and editing copy.
