As Property Services Officer, you’ll help us keep quality of housing high in a location like no other on Earth. Your remit will span property development and maintenance services for properties looked after by our HousingDepartment. This includes the world-famous Barbican estate of unique residential dwellings and commercial properties.It’s a varied and vital role. Taking responsibility for operational repairs and other property related issues, you’ll arrange and oversee work by contractors, so vital that you have an excellent understanding and knowledge of all trades and repairs experience.Where possible, you’ll carry out minor repairs yourself in order to get things shipshape quickly, to a high standard. You can expect to be managing a number of projects and budgets simultaneously, across our estates. We’ll rely on you to analyse problems,and to prepare briefs, risk assessments and tender documents. Along the way, you will work closely with Customer & Support Services and Maintenance & Project Officers. To join us, you’ll need proven experience of supervising building contracts, managing maintenanceand improvement projects, carrying out minor repairs and identifying complex works. Your administrative responsibilities call for proficiency in ICT including Microsoft Word and Outlook. With a demonstrable flair for communication and customer care, you’reequally comfortable when overseeing contractors, liaising with senior colleagues and discussing repairs with residents.When it comes to valuing our people, we have one key goal: to be an excellent employer.
