This vacancy reports into the Financial Controller and would suit a part-qualified (finalist) or qualified Property Accountant who preferably has had previously worked on the system Yardi (not essential). You will be working within a team of 5 people. Therole location will initially be flexible. On occasions there may be a requirement to work with other team members from Head Office in LondonClient DetailsThe firm provides specialist financial control services to the property industryDescriptionThe role:* Preparation of management accounts* Posting journals into the GL and preparation of detailed ledger schedules* Calculating accruals, lease incentives and prepayments* Posting managing agent rent and service charge statements* Balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis of P&L accounts* Preparation of UK VAT returns reconciled to the general ledger* Where required, preparation and submission of CIS returns* Review payment run processing when necessary* Assist with statutory accounts preparation and the year-end audit process* Assist with the preparation of loan compliance calculations and certificates* Assisting with any ad hoc client information requestsProfileThe candidate must have these essential skills:* Have experience of using an accounting software system* Have intermediate excel skills (e.g. vlookup, pivot tables, sumif formula)* Have excellent accounting skills* Experience of VAT is essential and CIS an advantage.* Have property accounting (fund accounting not client accounting) experience* Be diligent, pay attention to detail and precise* Be able to effectively communicate with clients and other business stakeholders* Be able to work effectively in a team to prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines* Take ownership of their work, have a can do attitude and be proud of their deliveryOther:* Working closely with the client to ensure accounting and reporting meets expectations* Knowledge of Yardiwould be an advantage* Previous experience working within the Real Estate sector would be advantageous* Scope for career progressionJob OfferLooking to pay up to £50,000 with a benefits (including bonus)
