Job Description

Project Officers - STEM Learning LimitedSalary: £28,000 to £31,000 dependent on experienceWe have some great opportunities for exceptional individuals to join us as Project Officers and be part of a world leading organisation supporting STEM educationacross the UK.You will be educated to degree level or with substantial relevant project and contract management experience gained within a relevant environment.With excellent communication, prioritising and planning skills, candidates must have experienceof working simultaneously on multiple projects, at different stages, and have the ability to switch from one to another. The ability to write concise complex reports and proposals supported by excellent IT skills is also required.Projects may be employer,partner or stakeholder facing and you should be able to demonstrate examples of effective relationship management external to an organisation.You will contribute to cross-cutting activities ensuring best practice contract and project management within STEMLearning. An appreciation and understanding of STEM education and / or working with the voluntary sector is therefore desirable.Some UK travel may be required to fulfill the roles.Project Officer - STEM Club Programme - Permanent, YorkThe STEM Club programmesupports teachers from across the UK to establish and run inspiring and impactful STEM Clubs. Support includes free training opportunities - delivered online and through our network of local providers, activities and a recognition programme.In particular,the Project Officer for this role will: Of primary focus, coordinate and drive high performance of STEM Learnings network of Enrichment Partnerships which coordinate the delivery of enrichment support in their area Coordinate the development and deliveryof new support courses and activities for STEM Club leaders Coordinate the communication needs of the wider enrichment programmesProject Officer - Nuffield Research Placements - Permanent, LondonThe NRP programme provides engaging, hands-on research projects,where Year 12 students have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution towards the work of a host organisation through a well-supervised but independent research collaboration relating to an area of science, social science, computing, technology, engineeringor maths. For more information on the programme visit: https://nuffield-research-placementsOf particular focus for this role, the Project Officer will: Coordinate: the network of coordinators who recruit placement providers and students the development anddelivery of skills modules to support young people the programme infrastructure Work with national partners to promote and grow the programme Support STEM Learnings wider student programmesProject Officer - Monitoring and Evaluation - Permanent, London orYorkThe successful candidate will provide high quality project management support for the delivery of monitoring and evaluation outputs across STEM Learning CPD programmes.They will work cross-functionally across teams to develop and maintain a systematicapproach to programme evaluation, coordinating delivery with stakeholders internally and externally as appropriate to ensure high quality Monitoring and Evaluation outputs are delivered to time, cost and quality.Candidates would benefit by having knowledgeand experience of managing programme evaluation, including an understanding of how to evidence outcomes and impact to funders and stakeholders.About UsThe National STEM Learning Centre & Network is a key UK resource for supporting STEM teaching and learningthrough provision of resources, on-line and physical networking and communities and partnership with a wide range of organisations and individuals. This includes driving forward on-going development of the STEM Ambassadors and STEM Clubs programmes alongsidesubject-specific support for all involved in teaching STEM subjects to young people.These roles will play a crucial part in ensuring that the Centre and Network are able to continue to provide world-leading support to STEM educators and exceed the expectationsof funders and other stakeholders.
