Job Description

This is an exciting time to join the PCF as we are working to enable thriving family farms and empower rural communities, who are encouraged and recognised for their role in creating a sustainable future for the countryside and our whole nation.The ProgrammeOfficer will be responsible for the successful delivery of the charitys activity supporting family farm businesses through the agricultural transition with a particular focus on new environmental policies, rebuilding our natural capital, supporting new entrantsinto agriculture and working with our network of farm support groups. The role of the Programme Officer will play a pivotal part in our current expansion of this area of activity.About the candidateThe PCF is looking for a motivated, highly capable individualwilling to take initiative and drive forward this new area of the PCFs work. The successful candidate will be highly organised and an excellent communicator who is able to work with different types of people including farm businesses, sponsors and government.You will be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver against a project plan- meeting deadlines, and monitoring progress; have experience of project administration, stakeholder engagement, research and events organisation. The successful candidate will beas passionate about the British countryside as we are, and agricultural or environmental knowledge would be desirable.
