We are now welcoming applications for a Project Officer to join on a part time (18.5 hours per week), fixed term basis for up to 18 months.The role will require you to utilise external funding knowledge and experience in ensuring that systems, reports and communications are effectively managed, implemented, produced, reviewed and evaluated for all projects, in order to meet auditable criteria.You will be responsible for leading on project/initiative set-up meetings and liaising with internal and external colleagues to clearly identify, communicate and track key milestones, including claim deadlines, for all projects/initiatives. You will ensure systems and procedures for monitoring projects are in line with College financial regulations, systems and procedures and that all internal and external documentation is available for audit purposes. The role will consist of you producing accurate and timely documentation such as project/ initiative reports, claims, evaluations, invoices and budget updates.You will have experience of managing multiple projects and delivering agreed outputs to agreed deadlines, experience of prioritising workloads as well as good time management skills, experience of monitoring and managing budgets and experience of working with auditors.You will have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant area alongside a good standard of education including Maths and English, or Literacy and Numeracy at Level 2.Please note there is flexibility on the contractual working days which can be discussed at interview.Bury College is committed to ensuring equality of opportunity, celebrating diversity, safeguarding its learners and expects all staff to share these commitments.
