Job Description

Project Manager - Outwards Reinsurance Operations SMELa Fosse Associates are seeking a Project Manager with significant prior experience of working with outwards and inwards reinsurance, as well as finance driven change programmes, to enable the effective management of management of Reinsurance premium payment and claim recovery, creating consistency, control and efficiency, whilst supporting improved cash flow and risk management.This is a six-month contract - PAYEKey areas of responsibility will be:

  • Drive the operational process reviews, action planning and agreed tacking of activities to improve end to end processing
  • Ensure all process changes meet the reinsurance procedures and controls across the Group including but not restricted to: ICF, JSOX and IFRS.
  • Manage the remedial activities to address current shortfalls in processing and to engender the best environment for the process changes to embed.
  • Deliver the operational change elements of the MS AUL Outwards RI (ORI) project to a high level of quality ensuring stakeholder buy in and adherence to action plans.
  • Communicate progress across the project team and legal entity counterparts within MS Amlin (this includes the other Legal Entities MS AG, MS ABS and MS AISE)
  • Support the appointed Programme Manager to drive the programme to a successful conclusion through understanding the business outcomes and developing the actions needed to succeed.
  • Desirable - Perform the standard good practice Project Manager skillsets of scoping, RAID, Planning including dependency management, budgetary control and Stakeholder Management
    • Essential Skills & Experience:
  • At least 10 years Reinsurance Recoveries management experience.
  • Proactively identifies issues and opportunities
  • Makes recommendations, takes decisions and consults appropriately
  • Good reporting skills
  • Conflict resolution
  • Understanding of end to end finance business process and reporting requirements in an insurance context
  • Strong people management
  • In depth business knowledge and commercial acumen
  • Self-starter, be able to work in a complex organisational and stakeholder environment
  • Collaborative approach with other stakeholders, understanding their different drivers.
