Job Description

Project Manager - MS Project experience essentialManchester/Birmingham or London, with remote working£85,000.00 + 5% performance related bonus We have an exciting new opportunity for a Project Manager to Join Resource Solutions as a Workforce Consultant. As an Employed Workforce Consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Resource Solutions and will be deployedon an interim or project basis into our clients organisations, in return we will provide you with an opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional accreditations.The successful candidate will:

  • Have primary responsibility for leading the management and delivery of medium and large projects, within the agreed time, cost, scope, quality agreed; making sure that the expected benefits can be realised.
  • Apply the appropriate project management disciplines, i.e. planning, resourcing, monitoring, reporting, and risk/action/issue/assumption/dependency management.
  • Establish and ensure an appropriate project organisation structure (and effective controls) are in place.
  • Initiate and oversee the research and/or business analysis activities as part of the overall project.
  • Manage and escalate to the appropriate sponsors/stakeholders within the project delivery framework.
You will have:
  • Experience in Financial Services / Insurance / IPMI preferred.
  • Extensive project management experience with a strong demonstrative delivery record in managing large and complex projects/programmes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and capable of delivering projects to time, quality, scope and budget (this could potentially be a mix of purely Business Change projects and projects with an IT element/deliverable)
  • Trained to Prince2 practitioner level, Agile or equivalent methodology accreditation.
  • Drives the continuous improvement of project management processes.
  • Ability to live with ambiguity and handle unexpected changes throughout the project whilst striving for clarity.
  • Pro-active in approach to change (roll up sleeves attitude)
  • Assists others in the management of change, understanding impact of change on individuals.
  • Creative and collaborative in approach to defining business solutions.
  • Significant knowledge of and experienced in using project planning/scheduling tools (MS Project)
  • Managing Relationships/ Stakeholder Management
  • Take responsibility for establishing and developing relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proactively addresses incident and relationship issues.
  • Capable of briefing at all levels
  • Able to lead, facilitate and motivate multi-functional project team.
  • Facilitates cross team working and delivery.
  • Able to influence and negotiate at all levels.
