Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver multiple IT projects simultaneously, ranging in size from extra small to extra-large according to defined project management standards, from inception to completion.
  • Plan and manage IT infrastructure and technical integration activities as required in support of the implementation of key projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to agreed time, budget and quality while managing project risks effectively.
  • Manage IT procurements in support of specified projects, in accordance with government guidelines as appropriate.
  • Coordinate the work of specialists charged with project delivery. This may include personnel from the IS (Information Services) team or other specialist teams and third parties.
  • Manage external suppliers and ensure they deliver in line with agreed Statement of Works and contracts.
  • Prepare various reporting documentation such as Gate papers for the governance boards and manage project administration e.g. detailed project plans, RAID logs and progress reports.
  • Mentor junior members of the project management team on technical concepts and projects
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience of successful delivery of IT technical projects (with a focus on IT Infrastructure)
  • Degree level or equivalent
  • Superb written and verbal communication in English
  • Good document/report writing skills
  • MS Office suite - specifically Excel
  • Prince2, PMP or equivalent project management certificate
  • Demonstrate high level understanding of below concepts:
  • Networking, physical network infrastructure incl., switches, VLANs and WANs, Windows server, virtualization, Active Directory, BCP/DR, Cisco networking experience, VMware/Azure, Azure AD, Active Directory and OU/Security Groups, Group Policy, IP addressingand subnets, routing, Data Storage options (NAS/SAN/onboard), concepts of appliance and service monitoring and the issues with false positives, Firewalls, different sort of Backup options - on prem/cloud
Salary:
  • £54,558.00
Location:
  • Central London
  • 3 days per week in office, 2 days working from home. Working hours, 9am - 5.15pm.
