Project Manager Investment management/ asset management This is a new and brilliant opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Global Project Management Office of this investment management businessRole details

  • Title: Project Manager
  • Employer: investment management/ asset management
  • Location: Role can be based in either Edinburgh or London dependant on your preference
  • Permanent role, salary £50-60,000 (Edinburgh Based) or £60,000- £70,000 (London based)
This is a new brilliant opportunity for a Project Manager to join this asset management/ investment management business in their Global Project Management OfficeYou will be reporting to the Head of Global PMO and have responsibility for managing cross-departmental projects with global reach.As the Project Manager, you will need to bring your strong project governance, engagement with project stakeholders to ensure they execute responsibilities relevant to the project, keep project sponsors and senior managers appraised of issues relating toproject and organising measures to resolve them in a timely manner, work with global colleagues as required, and active management of projects so that senior management team have clear perspective on the project progress, priorities, risks and issues.What is really interesting about this role is the broad range of projects you will get to work onYour day to day will include: - Project Management
  • Responsibility for management and execution of projects and projects workstreams.
  • Develop robust and achievable project plans, including management of timescales, scope, risks, and budgets
  • Track, manage and prioritise project activities deliverables towards agreed outcomes, and identify and develop mitigation strategies to ensure projects remain on track.
  • Promote the adoption and usage of project management tools, processes and methodologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
This is a really interesting role with a broad range of projects, and genuine responsibility day to dayRequired CapabilitiesExperience as a Project Manager
  • Background in the global financial services industry, preferably asset management
  • PMP / Prince 2 / Agile qualification and / or Lean Six Sigma qualification preferable
  • Must be able to start in October or November
