Job Description

This is a temporary Project Manager Band 7 role for an asap start until May 2022. The successful candidate must have project management experience in or alongside NHS Primary Care teams and be available immediately/1 weeks notice.Client DetailsAn NHS Group based in Central London.DescriptionThe Project Manager Band 7 will support the rollout of a national initiative and will involve working with the AHSN network as well as around 14 ICSs nationally. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinicians, operational staff andsenior commissioners.The Project Manager role will require someone who is very strong at stakeholder engagement and can use project management approaches within the NHS in or alongside Primary Care Teams.The key responsibilities for the Project Manager role are:

  • Engage with key stakeholders, coordinating engagement events, sharing information as required
  • Facilitation and set up of key meetings in support of implementation of the Frameworks
  • Coordinating the Steering Group and Task and Finish Group including pulling together the agenda, action tracker, risk and mitigation log
  • Coordinating the monthly reporting from participating sites
  • Supporting the National Programme Manager to coordinate the Community of Practice Meetings.
  • Supporting the National Programme Manager to coordinate content on NHSFuture and provide active facilitation and content oversite
  • Development and ownership of project plans and key actions to ensure progress is made
  • Constant commitment to ensuring and understand the impact of programmes on equalities and equity of access
  • Capturing and sharing learnings from implementation to share with the wider team and stakeholders
  • Engagement with patient and public representatives in developing the programmes
  • Support of other teams delivering the wider programme as and when required
  • Being the National Programme Manager and Senior Manager right hand person
ProfileThe successful candidate for the Primary Care Project Manager Band 7 role must have:
  • Strong Project Manager with experience in the NHS in or alongside NHS Primary Care teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Demonstrable experience of working in partnership to deliver innovation into practice for patient and population benefit
  • Experience of working in a complex change environment with multiple stakeholders and securing their engagement, resulting in a successful project and deliverables
  • Demonstrable experience of building strong working relationships with people at all levels across stakeholder organisations
  • A demonstrable commitment to ensure equity of access to services
  • Demonstrable experience of working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary and matrix team
  • Ability to prioritise, organise and plan own workload and deliver results consistently in a timely manner
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and/or workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  • Good IT skills, particularly in the use of MS Office, web applications and desktop publishing
  • Pro-activeness, self-motivation and exceptional drive
  • Emotional intelligence, agility and flexibility
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills
