This is a really interesting, challenging position based in West London.We need to find a switched on, agile project manager/PMO specialist to support a brilliant Head of PMO building out a smart, lean PMO function from scratch, rather than create a burdensome, overly bureaucratic machine. You’ll be supporting a complex, burgeoning array of commercial/technical programmes in a high technology company committed to the immediate launch of a constellation of satellites that will deliver affordable global connectivity and bridge digital divides. This is a company on an urgent mission, thus be prepared to hit the ground running.With an over-arching, holistic view of critical programmes, you’ll be responsible for coordinating key workstreams, particularly screening/triage and change control processes following gate reviews. Familiarity with the need to keep commercial and technical teams abreast of dependencies and change will certainly help, as will a proactive, dynamic approach to bringing others with you to complete necessary tasks.What’s great about this position though is an opportunity to advise on how the nascent PMO is functioning and might evolve, perhaps through the use of tools, document management systems/platforms or the shaping of transparent communication channels. You’ll not just be turning the handle but asked to improve the way it is turned, particularly with regard to simplicity and the efficacy of reporting.You will:
