Job Description

KennedyPearce are hiring for a Global Real Estate company based in London. This specific team is a team of 7 and sits in much larger central Europe team. This position is vacant on a temp to perm basis and sponsorship for the right candidate with relevantUK experience is a possibility. Partnering with both the central finance teams based in London and the local finance teams in country to improve their reporting. The key objectives are:

  • to ensure the balance sheet is robust, reconciled and properly controlled
  • align accounting policies and bring more consistency across the region
  • improve and streamline the consolidation process within the Hyperion system.
Key Project Responsibilities
  • Review of European Country Balance sheets including review of local supporting reconciliations with a view to clean up historic balances and improve visibility of movements
  • Review of country reporting packs/information requests with a view to streamlining this in light of findings from the balance sheet review
  • Support the move towards consistent application of accounting policies - in particular with a focus on the application of IFRS 15
  • Linking in to the above, supporting development of balance sheet controls currently being undertaken through an existing UK SOX workstream which is overseen by the PLC and EME Risk & Compliance teams
  • Overhaul of the Hyperion consolidation journals process, streamlining the number of journals and the posting process
  • Support through the consolidation/year end close process in Jan 2023
Experience/Technical experience:-
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • A broad understanding of IFRS and application of IFRS in practice.
  • Experience of using a large-scale consolidation and reporting system is essential. Experience of using Hyperion (Oracle financial reporting system) or equivalent
  • High standard of Excel and PowerPoint based financial reporting skills
