Job Description

Programme Support Co-ordinatorSalary: £35-£40kDuration: 3-12 monthsType: agency temporary workerLocation: VirtualOur client is a Government body based in central London. They are looking for an experienced and professional Programme Support Co-ordinator, to help deliver on their new strategy whilst building and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.Duties will include:

  • Support programmes of work to deliver Mayoral commitments as set out in the Police and Crime Plan. These will include, but are not limited to:
  • Gangs and youth violence
  • Violence against women and girls, including a pan-London domestic violence service and support for Londons four Rape Crisis Centres
  • Building efficiency and effectiveness within the Criminal Justice system
  • Young People services
  • Services for Victims
  • Support programmes of work to deliver commitments as set out in the Police and Crime Plan and specifically the statutory Independent Custody Visiting Scheme and community engagement activity
  • Support the delivery of effective custody oversight and identify areas for improvement
  • Contribute to oversight of critical community issues, e.g. deaths in custody and stop and search
  • Provide support to the Programme Manager and Programme Officer in the production, publication and delivery of relevant policies and strategies as set out in the Police and Crime Plan
  • Support commissioning arrangements to ensure that the application of funds effectively meet the Mayoral priorities to support crime reduction, community safety, reduce re offending, supporting victims and community engagement.
  • Support the Programme Manager and Community Engagement Officers in delivering across the Teams work programme
  • The post holder will be required to help build and maintain effective working relationships across the organisation partner agencies and their representative bodies, the Metropolitan Police and statutory and third sector partners. There will also be working relationships with Safer Neighbourhoods Boards and Independent Custody Visit Scheme Boards.CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSExperience of delivering project objectives. Knowledge of policing and crime.
