Are you a Programme Specialist who can step in to support life-changing international projects in West Africa and Middle EastProspectus is excited to be supporting an outstanding International Development organisation in their search for a Programme Specialist to join their Disaster Risk Management Unit on a temporary basis (1 month - February 2021). The role is fully home-working.As Programme Specialist you will support the effective delivery of the disasters and emergencies programming as well as spearheading the development and management of a significant part of our clients disasters grants portfolio. You will facilitate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders representing the organisation with institutional donors and partners. You will manage, monitor and evaluate projects with a key focus on child protection and gender equality in a geographical area including West Africa - particularly Nigeria - and the Middle East region.You will need to have project management experience, including financial oversight and will have experience of managing projects with institutional donors. You will have experience of managing complex relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and be comfortable facilitating project implementation and capacity building with in-country colleagues. You will need to have an interest in child rights programming and/or gender equality.
