Job Description

Reports to: Chief Executive OfficerHours: 35 hours per weekLocation: Home based/Digital HQ (with occasional travel)Duration: Full Time/4 day week considered Start Date: April 2022About us:The UK Cyber Security Council is a self-regulatory body for the UKs cyber security profession.It develops, promotes and oversees nationally recognised standards for cyber security, in support of the UK Governments National Cyber Strategy to make the UK the safest place to live and work online.As a membership organisation, the UK Cyber Council also offers organisational membership, and is open to all organisations that share an interest in promoting, supporting, and developing the cyber security profession.About the role:The Progamme & Partnership Director will oversee our work within the programme directorate related to standards, ethics, careers and outreach and diversity. This is a key role, responsible for leading on the planning and execution of a programme of projectsto deliver both enhancement of the Councils existing products and the development of new, or transfer in of external, products.In addition to the programme you will lead on establishing and managing key partnerships with organisations and businesses across the UK to progress our organisation mission. You will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer to ensure that we delivera high quality programme and mutually beneficial partnerships.Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To develop and implement the programme strategy and delivery plan working in collaboration with team members and line reports
  • To develop and implement the partnership strategy and delivery plan working in collaboration with the team members.
  • To lead on the transition of programmes and projects to the UKCSC
  • To identify and build relationships with key external stakeholders to enable the sustainable growth of the organisation including identifying appropriate organisations to support key programme strands
  • To lead the development of a monitoring and evaluation framework for programmes and ensure that we are able to report on our outputs, impact and learning.
  • To manage the Programme & Partnership Budget in accordance with organisation policy and procudeuresproceduresand finance best practice.
  • To recruit, manage, supervise and support the individual members of staff for whom the postholder is responsible, including setting and agreeing annual objectives within the organisations appraisal framework
  • To organise, lead and facilitate working groups as agreed with the CEO to deliver on the programme and organisational activities
  • To maintain open and effective communication with internal and external colleagues
  • To ensure appropriate records are added and maintained through use of the organisations CRM system
  • To ensure that all work is cohesive and aligned to work with colleagues within the organisation
  • To prepare progress reports as required for the Chief Executive and/or Board of Trustees
  • To participate in staff, executive and Board meetings as required
  • To comply with data protection legislation and act responsibly on matters of data disclosure both internally and to third parties
  • To represent the Council in a professional manner and to act at all times in a manner which will not damage its reputation.
  • To carry out such tasks as the Chief Executive may from time to time deem necessary for the effective and efficient functioning of the Council
Person Specification:Essential:
  • Significant experience of working in the charity or not for profit sector
  • Knowledge and experience of programme design and delivery
  • Experience of managing a high performing team, with a management style that
  • empowers others.
  • Experience of managing and leading change in an organisation, in a way that is collaborative and values a diverse range of voices.
  • Significant experience of building and maintaining new partnerships with individuals in all sectors
  • Experience of working directly with trustees, including drafting papers for trustee meetings.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a thorough understanding of monitoring and evaluation
  • Experience of developing and managing a departmental budget
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information to a wide audience.
  • A good working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite, including Teams
  • Experience of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems
  • Ability to use own initiative, prioritise workload and manage conflicting priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Confident, positive and hard-working team player - happy to go above and beyond
  • Ability to work flexibly within changing priorities and a capacity to be adaptable as required to deliver completed tasks to set deadlines
  • A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Desirable:
  • Educated to degree level standard or equivalent
  • Experience of engaging with government departments and FTSE 100 Businesses
  • Agile, PRINCE2 or similar project management certification
  • An interest in technology or Cyber Security
