Job Description

Job Title: Retail Programme ManagerLocation: LondonSalary: CompetitiveAbout Us: Our Client is a leading player in the railway industry, committed to delivering exceptional service and exploring innovative solutions to enhance the customer experience. The Retail team is at the forefront of our business, overseeingall selling channels and fulfilment methods, both at stations and online, to drive revenue collection and maximize commercial opportunities.Role Overview: As a Retail Programme Manager at our Client, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our retail strategy. This involves leading the development and implementation of initiatives and projects that align withour vision of providing a customer-centric choice of ticketing propositions through flexible, convenient, and digital-first solutions.Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop strategic initiatives with a focus on digital-first delivery.
  2. Support the development of the roadmap for Clients retail activities.
  3. Own and manage the delivery programme for retail projects, encompassing both digital and traditional means.
  4. Ensure project requirements align with business goals in collaboration with Senior Management and stakeholders.
  5. Liaise with suppliers and external stakeholders for the implementation of innovative retail solutions.
  6. Provide impact assessments and strategic support for ongoing retail activities.
  7. Lead contract negotiations on key contracts for business compliance and continuity.
  8. Represent the interests of the Retail team across Client, wider client org and industry bodies.
  9. Collaborate with product managers and Customer Experience teams to ensure retail offerings remain aligned and consistent.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a relevant professional qualification (desirable).
  • APM or MSP certification for Programme Management (essential).
  • Commercially driven with strategic thinking and foresight.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, and influencing skills.
  • Proven experience in project management and delivery.
  • Digital experience is beneficial.
  • Railway experience is beneficial but not essential.
Skills:
  • Problem-solving and analysis.
  • Ability to visualize end-user experience and plan customer experience efforts.
  • Data-driven mindset with an aptitude for technology.
  • Budget management skills.
