*This is a fixed-term contract of 1 yearAmazon is seeking a Programme Manager within the Sortation Planning & Execution space to work within Amazon Logistics (AMZL).The Tech SME team acts as a catalyst for change by driving innovation at the operator level, prioritizing technology initiatives and supporting engineering design innovations. Tech SMEs strive to be experts in Amazon’s operation systems. They are accountableto delivering world class solutions through optimizing and reinventing the existing technology. The Tech SME organization are functional experts on the software tools in given process areas and their application in the AMZL network. A successful programme manager in this organization will define the process the team uses to deliver best in class techto the field. This team looks for ways to automate human decision making by influencing Technology to build and update tools that reduce complexity to deliver robust processes.**Travel approximately 25% to covering EU Network.Key job responsibilities- Developing target condition for challenges within the delivery network along with financial impact- Serve as gatekeeper in assigned process areas for the change management process- Partner with tech organization to document and drive upcoming changes using tools such as business requirement documents (BRD)- Highlights areas of business risk and impact for Technology Team resource allocation and provide input on software design to support improved processes and standard work- Act as gatekeeper for prioritizing software enhancements and feature requests submitted by the sites and serve as the interface with the delivery stations to drive adoption of changes- Support process improvements, best practice sharing, and standardization across all Amazon Logistics processes- Provide metrics inputs that support compliance of standard work and that drives improvements in cost and quality- Collaborate with counterparts in other functional areas (Safety, Quality, Learning) as well as the Operations Engineering team and Delivery Station (DS) teams to drive standardization of core process elements to support network growth and scaleAbout the teamAmazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles ‘last mile’ delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilise creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers.Our goal is to make our customers’ delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and Amazon Restaurants.There are two sides to what we do. Our ‘under the roof’ associates process millions of products for dispatch to our delivery teams. Our team is people-focused and supportive, particularly as lots of our people work through the night. We focus mostly on operations,with 24/7 shifts in most of our locations.Meanwhile, our ‘on the road’ people work with Amazon Flex - a network of delivery contractors. Every year, we continually raise the bar for customer experience with new, innovative delivery services.
