Job Description

We have a unique and exciting opportunity for someone to join a key programme management role focused on business transformation for a well-established Insurance company. This is a business-facing role that will engage at all levels including with the senior execs in the company. This will require exceptional business change expertise as well as all the key ingredients of a top-class IT Programme Manager.Overall responsibility is to manage a programme of business and technology change.

  • Definition of an engagement and delivery framework for a programme focused on the delivery of outcomes/benefits
  • Delivery of key programme of work including Online Portal, CRM, Policy Administration, Data Analytics and other legacy system upgrades or replacements. Managing the end-to-end delivery through requirements analysis, technical implementation, business organisational change and acceptance
  • Thought leadership to drive continuous improvement through automation and operating model evolution, whilst embedding a data-fuelled culture with data activists within the business
  • Driving Automation and integration first principles for all applications and digital platforms
  • Candidates must have strong leadership skills as the role will have both direct and matrix reporting lines across central and local technology teams, third-party software delivery partners and service integrators.
    • Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Demonstratable experience in delivering outcomes with Agile teams.
  • Experience of managing change programmes in excess of £10M.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, as well as a diplomatic style when working with demanding stakeholders and senior management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, having patience and empathy when dealing with customers and colleagues.
  • Significant project/programme management experience, ideally in a regulated Insurance environment.
  • Ability to develop a Business Case/Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) and track costs, negotiate vendor contracts and develop a Statement Of Work (SOW) as required.
  • Knowledge of Azure infrastructure.
  • Strong commercial understanding and awareness including demonstrable external contract management experience.
  • Commercially astute and technically adept with the ability to persuade and inspire people at all levels of a business, including at senior/board level.
