Job Description

The BusinessOur client is a film director looking for a development / production assistant. They make films for Netflix, BBC, Apple etc.They are an award-winning production company based in Soho, London. They combine the ideas of a creative agency with a cinematic aesthetic and an authentic approach to storytelling, born from a decade of globetrotting journalism & documentary.Their last film, Jago: A Life Underwater - the life story of an 80-year-old sea nomad and underwater hunter - is currently airing on Netflix and won multiple awards, including 4 Royal Television Society Awards.Their commercial clients include Facebook, Unilever, Canada Goose, Sony, Universal Records and WWF.The JobThe role would be a combination of remote working and based at the studio in Central London and include

  • Support with the smooth running of the department
  • Helping to run a small post-production suite whilst developing ideas
  • Project managing development of films and tv series.
  • Create and follow production documents and schedules
  • Provide support on shoots and attend industry events (when needed)
  • Communicating with internal & external stakeholders about project, event or campaign expectations and goals.
  • Overseeing the delivery of projects and making adjustments as necessary to ensure they are delivered to specifications and high standards.
  • Assist in other areas in the business as and when needed.

  • Understanding of production processes
  • An eye for story-telling and talent for writing
  • Basic understanding of Keynote, In design, photoshop, final cut, premiere, Avid and Final Draft desirable
  • Ability to take on different tasks that may not be specific to your job role.
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Independent and self-confident in your abilities
