Job Description

The ideal candidate will be a graduated individual with strong interest in Raw Materials willing to get experience and competence to build a career in the luxury fashion industry. The internship will give you the opportunity to learn how to carry out researchand development of the Accessories handbags and small leather goods collection following the whole critical path from initial research to samples delivery. You will have chance to attend material fairs and appointments with agents. You will learn how to usethe PLM system to produce codes, very significant program commonly used in fashion. You may learn how to create a Technical Presentation, PEM document, Product file and how Production Changes are detected and managed. A deep insight into materials sustainabilitywill also be provided supporting the sustainability report creation and the certifications collection. Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in organising the raw material Archive for Bags and Footwear keeping it tidied up
  • Keeping record of all materials details, prices and specifications.
  • Support the Raw Materials research contacting suppliers in order to collect colour cards and material details.
  • Help in the sustainability aspect of the research checking traceability, compositions, certifications and making sure the material suppliers provide all requested info to ensure transparency and international regulations compliance.
  • Assisting in the data recording of the collection development taking notes, photographing samples to support the PD in PEM and Production Changes creation.
  • Help with the logistic aspect of the relation with our main suppliers as well as the PD, Production and QC teams in Italy organising protos, masters, material deliveries and collection.
  • Follow the admin details liaising with the logistic department to organise materials collection from suppliers and agents.
  • Deal with our Italian Accounts to get and provide new supplier details (anagrafica).
  • Collect parcels/deliveries from the reception addressed to accessories dept informing the relevant recipients.
  • Support the Coding and the PO creation for samples and production.
  • Support the PD team in keeping the PO tracker up to date saving POs and Invoices. Collecting Proformas from the suppliers.
  • Circular creation to inform the operation, production, customercare teams about changes sms/production in the collection.
Key Skills:
  • Have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be fluent in Italtian.
  • Understand trends and have a keen interest in fashion.
  • Be creative and have excellent organisational skills.
  • Understand the fashion industry or have previous luxury goods experience.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships. Writing skills also important.
  • Have problem solving skills and be solution orientated with Can-do attitude.
  • Have the ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
  • Be a strong team player.
  • Be discrete, confidential, and reliable at all times.
