Job Description

Our client develops SaaS solutions that simplify the business of research administrations, helping them work smarter. With 60% of the top research organizations trusting them to modernize their administration systems (compliance, funding application, fundmanagement, data etc...), they are currently growing out their UK team with a Product Owner to work in their growing Product Management team.Having been around for over 20 years, with a 99-100% customer retention rate over the last few years and still maintaining an entrepreneurial and family feel to their team, this is an exciting time to join a business like this that are leaders in their sectorof research software.Product Owner Responsibilities

  • Organize, prioritize and assess work for the scrum team
  • Write user stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Utilize data, analysis, and user feedback to make decisions and influence others
  • Groom and prioritize backlog
  • Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria
  • Plan releases and upgrades
  • Follow progress of work and address production issues during sprints
  • Participate in Agile execution ceremonies with the engineering team: sprint planning, story refinement, daily stand up, sprint review, and retrospective
  • Act as the main point of contact between teams and stakeholders
  • Track and report on product Net Promoter Score (NPS)
  • Work closely with Product Management colleagues to ensure alignment
  • Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
  • Assist the scrum/product development team to meet the objectives of each sprint
Product Owner Requirements
  • Previous work experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management
  • Proven experience creating effective business requirements and user stories
  • Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
  • Technical background with knowledge of software development and SaaS technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively and actively communicate with both business and technical stakeholders and resources
  • Comfort with ambiguity; demonstrated track record of developing solutions to problems
  • Ability to earn the trust of customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals; excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field
The offices are based near London Bridge but there would be full flexibility to work remotely and come into the office once week or so.This is a great opportunity for Product Owner to join a fast-growing business with opportunities for progression.
