Job Description

Software Product Manager reporting to the MD of Analytics, define and design the architecture for business requirementsClient DetailsGlobal treasury and risk management consultancy.DescriptionSoftware Product Manager reporting to the MD of Analytics, define and design the architecture for business requirements

  • Interact with internal global resources to estimate, clarify, and define scope and requirements of the module
  • Understand client requirements in order to incorporate all pertinent needs into module
  • Technical Leadership - accountability for technical architecture and translation of business requirements to outsourced development team
  • Approval of pull requests - sufficient understanding of codebase in order to review and accept pull requests from the outsourced development team
  • Development / coding work as required to facilitate project completion
  • Using AGILE methodology, iterate and improve module in a continuous fashion through to completion
  • Document progress to internal and external stakeholders until completion
  • Document back-end requirements and architecture
  • Create wireframe Mock-ups
  • Quality Assurance - Comprehensive testing of initial and final product
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies that are vital to the business
  • Enhancements & New Features - work with a PHP/Python Back-End Architecture /MySQL to code and release server-side enhancements and new features using AGILE development processes
  • Monitor client usage and market trends and propose new services or changes to the service
Profile
  • Strong critical thinking skills with an ability to organize, synthesize, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data
  • Strong interpersonal skills; must have a balanced, open, and team-based personality and an ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong organizational and written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to bridge the commercial and technical aspects of the product
  • Coding experience necessary in order to facilitate optimal utilization of outsourcing team as well as ability to review pull requests
  • Ability build and develop internal working relationships
ADDITIONAL HELPFUL SKILLS (NOT REQUIRED BUT NICE TO HAVES)
  • Familiarity with Financial Services
  • Familiarity with SaaS products
  • Familiarity with Python and PHP
  • Familiarity with javascript and/or react.js
  • Familiarity with JIRA, AGILE, Scrum, or Kanban
  • Familiarity with Foreign Exchange markets
