Job Description

A renowned and award-winning Banking group requires a Product Governance Analyst on a 9-month fixed term contract (likelihood to go permanent thereafter).A remote position (Homeworking) with the opportunity for a London or Yorkshire, North England office base.The role supports the delivery product governance processes across the Motor Finance and Finance division.Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct the retail product reviews by working across business stakeholders to ensure they are compliant with the Banks Product and Service Standard.
  • Perform fair value assessments of the retail divisions products based on a set standard and timetable. Identify and manage a stakeholder group to ensure the timely and robust fair value assessment of fees and charges to ensure good customer outcomes.
  • Work across matrix teams to complete reviews and design new product and pricing solutions in line with target customers outcomes and governing regulations.
  • Identify, consider and communicate product governance activities across other impacted business teams (Marketing, Credit, Finance, Compliance)
  • Maintain a "customer first" mindset to ensure products are assessed with a focus on delivering good customer outcomes to both target customers and those with vulnerabilities.
  • Summarise and prioritise the key insights and opportunities from product reviews and fair value assessments for approval through the governance process.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Commercial leadership team to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and manage all product risks relating to the product journey.
  • Support the design and delivery of business changes identified through the product review and value assessment activities. Working with SME’s and change teams to ensure detailed planning is completed to ensure robust delivery to realise opportunities.
  • Ensure the gaps identified are closed in an effective manner and the appropriate controls are in place to monitor and detect any customer and business risks that may arise.
  • Maintain a consistent and pro-active focus on recognising, evaluating, mitigating, and monitoring customer outcomes throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Be an evangelist for the products and service standards that drive good product governance throughout the retail business.
Skills & experience
  • Experience in the Financial Services Industry, performing product governance, product reviews and customer solutions that support them.
  • Understanding of product lifecycle management methodology and the governing financial services regulation that influences it.
  • Proven Fair Value Assessments experience
  • Numerical analysis includes identifying appropriate data points and data processing skills to summarise key insights for business leaders to drive decision-making.
  • Ability to synthesise detailed information sources into clear business recommendations.
