Product & Financial Controller – VP Venn Group are currently recruiting for a Product and Financial Controller to join a bank in London, assuming responsibility for managing and ensuring the accuracy of the firm’s financial information, acting as a Qualified Accountant responsible for a rangeof activities within their Finance Department. We are looking to speak with individuals with the following experience: • Qualified Accountant ~ 5+ years’ experience • Securities valuation experience • 5 years+ prior experience in banking industry within Finance and/or Product Control • Strong understanding of financial products such as Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Swaps, etc. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manipulate large trade-based datasets and pivot tables • Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders • Familiarity with Gloss settlement and subledger system, plus any Derivatives system. MS Excel, and Access (less important). • Experience in testing/UAT participation from subledger/accounting rules engines/GL migrations would be an added advantage. Candidates with working knowledge of vanilla securities products (Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income, Swaps) are invited to apply, as this role requires a self-started who can apply working knowledge and hit the ground running once in the role. This role requires individuals to demonstrate both business-facing and technical abilities, capable of both communicating key financial information between departments and to department heads as well as utilising Gloss Settlements/various subledger accountingsystems to manipulate data.
