Our solutions help organisations become more efficient, effective and profitable, and achieve their goals byproviding them with technology platforms that integrate seamlessly with the most popular CRM, event management and marketing automation platforms.Job description:About ClearDebitAt ClearDebit, part of ClearCourse, we provide a clear, simple and trusted insight into Bacs and the world of Direct Debits. We are a Bacs Approved Bureau, a Bacs Accredited Training provider and an independent Bacs Consultancy. Our expertise has been developedworking with Bacs, banks & software / CRM suppliers and we are proud to have helped hundreds of service users get the most from the Direct Debit Scheme.Working for a company brand, which retains a small business feel, while being part of a larger group. We are looking for a Product Director, someone who can be the conduit between our internal/external clients, the delivery team, and our developers. Youwill be comfortable talking technical when needed, but also really understand our internal/external clients need and translate this into a strategy for our Product.Reporting to the Head of Payment and working along side the General Manager, you will be able to take input from senior management, and help create the strategy and roadmap that brings our ideas to life. You will be happy working on prototypes, writing specificationsand giving feedback during review sessions. You will be responsible for delivery of the roadmap, and reporting to management on progress.In your career, youll have been involved in projects where you have influenced product design, modelling and developing products or web sites from conception to execution. You will have a thorough understanding of what makes software excellent, and howto reimagine existing products to make them stand out in the market.A background in the development of direct debit systems and a strong understanding of the BACS rules is highly desirable.Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the product delivery that achieves revenue growth
  • Implement a new cloud based direct debit product and manage the migration of existing solutions onto this new platform
  • Taking existing product and making improvements
  • Delivering road map on-time, on-budget in-line with company strategy.
  • Product development
  • Create and deliver a plan to grow the direct debit business that incorporates the product proposition, commercial strategy, people/location strategy and operational processing
  • Assess the current products against competitor, in terms of pricing, functionality and user experience
  • Oversee the alignment of the product and technical roadmaps towards a target state that provides a secure, resilient, scalable and performant service to our customers
  • Define a plan to better-serve the current and ongoing needs of other ClearCourse businesses to maximise the opportunities within the group
  • Design and plan the organisation required to deliver the business transformation
  • Assess the current and future structure of the business in relation to the place within ClearCourse in terms of regulatory compliance, BACS certification and related compliance
  • Manage the operational risks affect the business and implement appropriate alerting/escalation to ClearCourse
  • Design and adapt the operations processes to provide a best in class customer experience (measured by NPS, CSAT) whilst considering cost/value options
Requirements:Key Skills and Experience:
  • Product Management experience, demonstrable example of owning roadmap and delivery.
  • Ability to think creatively, and to drive products and services forward with concepts and ideas.
  • An ability to work closely with developers, and to interpret requirements from business-focused teams.
  • Awareness of development frameworks.
  • A strong understanding of basic UX approaches and Agile development.
  • Experience in the use of Confluence and Azure Dev Ops.
  • Understand, and be able to communicate, technical trade-offs, making sure all stakeholders are on board.
  • Knowledge of product life cycles, from conception through to end-of-life.
  • Experience of owning road maps.
  • Understanding of direct debit systems and the BACS rules
  • 6+ years experience in Product Management or similar role
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of being involved in starting a product from scratch.
  • Experienced in working as a Product Owner Manager capacity in more than one industry sector.
